I bought my dress off the rack and received a 40% discount, but I will have to pay completely for alterations. It's still a better deal for my dress cuz the 40% discount was about $1,500 which is way more then my alterations would be. My point being, did they give you a sdiscount for purchasing the dress off the rack since it was the last one?

They didn't mention this to me...and I didn't know to ask...

I didn't technically buy it off the rack because I wasn't buying one they had in the store, but I am slided a little because mine wasn't just made it was made in advance for whatever reason?

I don't know...once it comes in I will try and negotiate as much as possible!!!!

Hey...

Well my mom and sister and I are going tomorrow actuallly to pick it up. I forgot to make an appointment to try it on and they are booked now, so i think I am just going to pay for it and take it home and then when I'm ready for alterations, I will take it back there and I will see how much they want and if it's too much I will find another place.

I just don't see the point in leaving the dress there...

Okay so can I just say that I LOVE my dress!!! This is the first time that I can actually say that without questioning myself!!

So I get to the place to pick it up and expecting not to be able to try it on because that is what they told me!! The girl tells me to come to the other side and asks if I would like to try it on and I said really? They told me I couldn't try it on. She said of course you can! So I said well yeah!

So I put it on...and it fit like a glove! I was all freaked out that it was going to be too big and I would have to spend a fortune in alterations, etc...and it fit perfect! Mind you I am still loosing weight, but it seems that the size difference are not huge.

Then she began putting veils and tiara's and necklaces on me...which was good because I was able to get and idea of what kind of jewelry I would like and I decided that I don't want a tiara...I did however get a veil! I was still okay w/ out it but my mom and sister thought I should really have it and my sister paid for it so I lucked out!

Gosh I bable!! Here are some pics. The veil I got is the one w/ the thick cream lining on the outside...it matches the dress perfect! The dress looks white in the pics (from my cell phone) but it's ivory. Don't mind the black necklace that was before she put good ones on me! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
