Are my STDs awful?

Hi Ladies!

 

Need your opinion. I worked so hard to put together a mock up of my STDs, which FI asked me to show his parents. Their reaction was not what I was looking for... FMIL suggested that I send "something more appropriate."

 

My teeth are still on edge... what is more appropriate than a passport for the STD for a DW?

 

So, truth, please... what do you think? (note that we don't have a date or venue yet, so it's just a mock-up.)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! Your guests are going to get so excited about taking a trip when they receive a passport that you created just for your wedding..

I think they're VERY cute - so don't listen to FMIL. You can tell you put a lot of work into them - and they're perfect! Don't let her rule your decisions, let her now and it will never stop! Why would she think that her approval somehow is required anyway?

WTF!? Something more appropriate?? Hummm.... I think those look great and are very appropriate for a DW. That's just my opinion. She's probably expecting a really formal intive to a church wedding - - that you will not be having.

I love those!!! And I think they're totally appropriate! They look professionally done, yet the fact that you did them makes them even more personalized to your wedding. I say, go with them...but then again, I have caved into my family's wishes on certain things......ugh.......but still! Your STDs are great!

They are quite appropriate. Your FMIL is probably sad about the DW and wants something more formal. Is she old school?

I think they look great! This is YOUR wedding, so do what you want. I really think that having a DW opens up the door to do things differently and whatever makes you happy is the best way to do it.

Are you kidding...your FMIL needs to stay home. Nothing could be more appropriate for a destination wedding than a dang passport! I think they look killer. Obviously you spent a great deal of time on those, and it totally paid off! They look stunning...love the colors, love the design. I would love to see more close up pics of the inside inserts. They look great. You should be very proud! To hell with FMIL...
