Hello brides! I have been embraced so well by the wonderful ladies in this forum with such excellent tools and information into planning a DW that I must return the favor. Girls, if u want to save alot money on wedding invitations, try this, I found it on EBAY. It's a Message in a bottle wedding invitation, perfect for an Island wedding. The invitation is scrolled up and tied w/ raffia in a corked bottle which contains sand and tiny shells that is placed in a lovely box to send to your guests(u can get without for cheaper) What a cool idea! I think it's inexpensive because I'm only having 25 people and invitations cost about $4 each so it's not so bad. I don't know how to post the link but if u go to ebay and type in "message in a bottle wedding invitation" u will find at least 4 different styles. Good luck girls.

Lots of Island and Cabo love,

Rosa

I know, I saw them online for so much more too. The people that sell on Ebay are very trustworthy and are not our to make a buck. Be sure to check out the ones that have the burnt edges on them, so cool. Your guests will be so amazed when they get them.

Lots of Cabo love,

I actually did this for my save the dates but I bought all the stuff and made it myself. I bought glass bottle, corks and boxes from some website, cant remember the name but just like this one: Specialty Bottle - Glass & Plastic Bottles Jars Vials Tins Other Containers

I got a bunch of sand when we went to St George Island on vacation and then I bought tiny shells at a craft store. I used antiqued paper to type up the save the date and ripped off the edges of the paper and then burned them so they looked authentic. Outside ladies, dont do it in the house. Just take a lighter to the paper and blow it out after a couple of seconds. I packed the bottle in the box with spanish moss from a craft store. They were a huge hit and I think they really got people excited to go to Mexico!!

I think I remember it being about $2.05 each for the glass ones in a box. I was orginally going to use the plastic bottle and just put a mailing label directly on that but I didnt like them casue the sand stuck to the sides of the bottle and made it look cheap.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
