I made a booklet and put it in those clear-cover portfolios. It was broken down into sections (I have too much free time at work :P)

The cover was our monogramm the next page was a short "Welcome, you made it...please read through this, etc.". The next page was 2 color maps, one of the city and one of the hotels (our guests were staying at different spots).

The sections were Itinerary, General Info (like time zone/money/weather/etc.) History of PV, Sightseeing, Shopping, Tips on Staying Healthy, Emergency Contacts (like embassies, numbers to call if you loose credit cards/passports, etc.

I think that's about it!

I kept mine very short and sweet.

Dear Family and Friends,

The wait is finally over!! Welcome to sun, sand and relaxation....Welcome to Riviera Maya!! We are both so happy and feel very blessed to be able to have our wedding here at Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa. We are especially honored that you have traveled this far to be a part of our marriage celebration.

Enjoy the “goodies” included in this welcome bag. They are just a small token of our appreciation.

Please make the most of your stay here in Riviera Maya. We hope the next few days will be as memorable for you, as it will be for us.

With Love and Appreciation,

Lisa & James

I was going to do a short letter like Lisa's - simple and to the point. But now I want to do a booklet like Jamy's. (Even though I already sent a similar booklet to my guests back in September - for assistance with their travel plans.)

Jamy - do you have any pics of your booklet that you can post?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
