Average Cost of OOT/Welcome Bags

Recommended Posts

Hi All!

I'm wondering what you are spending on the welcome bags? I think our hotel will do them but they are about $50 each and that seems a little high, especially since they will be pretty generic.

Thanks for sharing!

Well, I just bought the OOT bags. I got 3 dozen for about $30.

Travel mugs will go in them (about $2.50 each).

Also lots of trial size/sample pain medications and bug spray, sunblock and aloe, etc.

We are making homemade starfish soaps.

Flip flop playing cards.

Tropical design purse size tissues.

Some other random stuff.

I would say they are $25 dollars each -- tops.

We are doing one per couple andputting two mugs in each.

We do havea few sinlges so they will each get the same but of course with only one mug.

It depends on what you want in them, what type of bag your going to have. So far mine are probably going to cost about $25.00 that could be a little low.

Advil

Benadryl

30 suntan lotion

Germ-x ( Hand sanitizer)

Wine bottle pourer/stopper

bookmarker with starfish

mug, ect.

We decided to not go super fancy with our so they will be about $10 each.

We have a candle, matches, a poem to go with the two...

I made a crossword up.

First Aid Kit

I got booklets from the tourism board.

There will be a welcome letter, snacks and bottled water. One thing to keep in mind is that all your guests will have to take the stuff home with them in their bags.

I actually am going the cheaper route and doing white paper bags with handles and filling it with waters, candy, snacks, advil, pepto etc. and a note of thanks. I'm hoping to not spend more than $10-$15 each bag. Couples are sharing one and singles get their own. I figure most people don't want to lug stuff home with them and I know I probably wouldn't use a bag with someone's wedding date or names on it ever again. I wanted mine completely throw-a-wayable. Does that make sense? Just me thought :)

Where do you get packets of Advil, pepto etc? Does Costco have it? Are you buying it down there or bringing it?

We have a very small wedding, so we went with some more expensive items and ours are costing about $35 each.

We have a heavy canvas beach bag, personalized towels, a CD we made, Off wipes, Afterbite, Motrin, Rolaids, gum, flip flop cards and notepads, sunscreen and lip balm with spf.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
