I started

I just started WW yesterday. I am allowed 18 points. I consumed 12 yesterday. Today I am 10.5. I think it helps to snack on things that are 0 points. I am not doing the meetings and am just doing this on my own. A coworker gave me the book. I weighed myself yesterday and am going to only weigh myself on Sundays. My goal is to lose 15 lbs this year and a total of 20 lbs by June 09. I feel good about this. I hope it works. I am going back to the gym tonight too. I have not been in 2 months and can't wait to get back. I think this forum will be helpful especially since I don't go tot the meetings. We can support eachoother smile159.gif

i'm heading to my first meeting tonight...i did WW once before and was pretty successful, but fell off the wagon when I started co-habitating with my FI and eating everything he ate (oops!). Anyway, looking forward to getting back on track and in shape...good luck ladies!

i love ww - it sounds so cheesy, but it really is a lifestyle change rather than a diet. but make sure you eat all of your points!! if you don't, then you're depriving your body of what it actually needs.

I have been on WW in the past, and I just wanted to comment on your low low low point eating. You need to get the 18 points in a day, its not a maximum points, its the amount of points you NEED to eat. If you eat too few points your body will go into starvation mode and start hording all calories from everything you eat and store then. That is what your body does when you consume too few calories. Talk to your leader about it, but you really should eat the 18 points in a day 10.5 is not good at all, its waaaaaay to low.

I've been on WW for the past 2 years. I lost 40 lbs on my own but joined WW to lose the last 25 which has been a big challege. For some reason it's been harder to lose the last few pounds.

Just to echo everyone else. Definately eat all your points. I'm on the Core plan and I love it! I find it more satisfying than flex plan and it forces me to focus on eatinghealthy foods rather than spending my points on unhealthy foods.

I would also add that I find meetings imperative to maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle. But that's me. Good Luck!

im doing the online thing. i love it cause if i want to know how about foods i just type them in and it looks them up for me!!! of course all i need is more time on my computer!

I started ww again today too, I have the book from other times that I've done it. I did it a few years ago and lost 30 pounds, I was also exercising my butt off back then, so until I have money to join the gym again it will probably be a slow battle.

18 points, holy crap, thats nothing! And you're not even eating all of your points?? Like Julie mentioned, you're supposed to eat that many points, and if you deprive yourself you're eventually going to just cave in and eat something really bad because you're starving. If you eat the whole 18 points you'll see that you can still eat a decent amount of food, you just have to watch what it is and you won't feel deprived. also, if you're starting to exercise too, you should definetly be eating all your points.

Good Luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
