How big is your wedding going to be? Tensing Pen is supposed to be beautiful, as is the Rockhouse. I'm getting married just outside of Negril at a small all-inclusive that has a bed and breakfast feel - Coral Cove Jamaica Vacation - Little Bay Bed Breakfast Inn - Negril Wedding, Caribbean . We're honeymooning at Sunset at the Palms and The Caves. CSA is supposed to be really nice also! Let us know what you're looking for...

We are planning to invite 10 to 12 people - 3 of them are children. The children part is still pending.

JamaicaBride - How is it going with the wedding planner, Tamika? What options are there? We really like Swept Away. Which room did you book? Oh so many questions!

Thanks ladies!

No problem. I had a million questions ans still keep coming up with more every day!

Children are a no-go at SA and all Couples and Sandals Properties. I think you can have them only at the ceremony. THis sucks for the parent because they have to leave with them.

I've been working with the new wedding coordinator Debbie, who took over for Elizabeth. She is based out of Florida so it is easier to work with her and much cheaper on the phone bill.

They have lots of options, alternate sites in case of rain, private dinner packages, etc.

If you have specific questions Private Message me and I'll do the best I can to answer them!

Good luck planning!

Erin

For Negril, I ALWAYS suggest my #1 choice in all of Jamaica which unfortunately didn't work out for us... Sunset at the Palms. Looks INCREDIBLE! Reggie and I WILL take another trip to Jamaica someday and stay there! Only downfall was that guests were required to stay for a full week and we had a few who can only stay 4 days.

Hi Christine-

We too are planning in Jamaica. From speaking to alot of people I think I am going to go Sandals; either Dunn's River or Negril. We picked these 2 because there is a beaches resort close by that the people that aren't couples or underage can stay at. My brother was recently in Jamaica for wedding at Sandals Negril and he stayed at beaches because he wasn't a "couple" and he loved it and was so excited he was going to get to go back.

It's stressful trying to decide isn't it?smile120.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
