Sandals Whitehouse?

Recommended Posts

I went there on vacation when it first opened and ABSOLUTELY LOVED it! The resort is beautiful, the staff was friendly, the drinks and food were great too. The sand is perfect and the ocean is warm and crystal clear.

One of the things that I liked best was how secluded it is... when we went there were no other resorts around them at all. (if you are looking for nightlife this might not be the place)

I have pictures from my vacation and will try to post them tonight or tomorrow (if I can figure out how) Any other questions-just let me know!

Don't worry about it..... the first night we were there I was worried we wouldn't have enough to do but never actually felt like it was missing. They do have shows and might have a disco. I am leaving work now but will get back to you!

My sister went there for her honeymoon. She loved it. Only problem was some bugs on the beach. I guess you had to wear bug repellant otherwise you'd wake up the next morning with red spots all over your body.

HI!
I just returned from my honeymoon at Sandals Whitehouse this weekend. I can tell you after a fun, action-packed time at RIU Ocho Rios the week before, the Sandals Whitehouse was somewhat of a let down. If you and your FI are into dancing and having fun at night...this is definitely NOT the place to stay! However, if you are looking for a relaxed, laid back honeymoon, it is perfect. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the food was really great. There were very few younger (20-30s) couples (it seemed mostly couples in their 50-60s) therefore, the youger crowd all kind of migrated towards one another. We basically made our own fun at night by karaoking, watching the shows, etc. The "nightclub" was always empty. We mostly hung out at the pool by the French village, as there was a swimup bar and pool volleyball every day.
Let me know if you have any further questions! By the way...make sure you go with the concierge package in order to get into all the restaurants. We felt sorry for the couples without the concierge that had to wait an hour+ for a reservation.

Do you know if it's easy enough to switch locations-to another Sandals-once you are there? The more I think about it, my FI might not like this very much and that wouldn't be good for our HM!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
