My wedding is at 4. I am hoping it does not rain but i am not going to worry about it. Like everyone said, in the tropics it only rains a short time and usually gets beautiful with rainbows. THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS!

lizz- the beginning of the thread is who they were talking about, the woman who said that it rains in may

Oh, sorry, I forgot about that part of the post! I thought someone else said something that I missed.
I'm sure she would rather be in Jamaica when it's raining than at work; she's just jealous!

I got it now, I'm just confused. I'm at work, so I maximize the screen for 30 seconds, read, then minimize, then pop it back open, write, minimize, etc etc...sorry!

We checked the weather before we went and it was suppose to rain that day and during my ceremony. We got there and it rained the first couple of days we were there. But it lasted only a few minutes. And it was warm rain. You couldn't even tell it rained. It dried so fast. I wouldn't worry too much. If it does you can wait a few minutes to wait it out.

Just to chime in, we were there in early June. It rained lightly for like 15 minutes the first day, actually around 4 or 5pm and it dried very quickly.

It was dry for a week then the last morning it rained pretty hard and long, like 2-3 hours. We were totally in the pool in the rain with a few other couples. It felt really good...lol

If it were to rain during my ceremony I would embrace it...if it isn't luck it's fun and makes for memorable pictures! Keep your sense of humor and expect tropical weather...chances are it won't rain anyway :o)

P.S. Your co-worker does suck! What a hater!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
