I'm resurecting this thread because I did a search and I see discussions on videographers going on in different resort threads, although mainly about the resort's videographer.

Anyone have any other options for a videographer? I haven't seen a copy of a video from my resort's videographer so I am hesistant about going with him (don't like the idea of paying a lot of money when you don't know what you're getting)

The ones that have been posted already in this thread are:

Miguel Cantarell - Cancun Wedding Videos | Mayan Riviera Wedding Videographer | Miguel Cantarell - Home

Paul Schrank - Playa Weddings - Videography in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya

Dino Gomez - Pictronica Weddings

Others I've found when googling are:

In Acqua Images - Inacqua Images - Playa del Carmen - México - Producciones audiovisuales, video, DVD, multimedia, filmación

Mayan Riviera Weddings - Mayan Riviera Weddings - Wedding photography & video

Wedding Paradise - George baltazar Wedding Paradise by Jorge Baltazar

The one used by Lambert13 and Lucky_K72:

Juan Alfredo (website not working) email: justvideo_cancun@yahoo.com.mx

And the one for my resort (Dreams Tulum) is:

Oscar Video - Cancun - Riviera Maya

Used Paul Shrank for my video; as my hubby is in the business, we asked Paul to just give us the raw footage (unedited) to review and edit ourselves. After reviewing just the raw footage, we were very happy with what he and his assistant, Rachel filmed.

I would so recommend him!!!

Miguel Cantarell (Mike) Did my video. It is AMAZING. I was honestly shocked at how good it turned out. I think for the 45 minute video he charged us $800. But I also bought the package of photos from Claudia Rodriquez so I don't know if it was subject to a volume discount or not.

i asked my fiance (who knows the biz) what the regular prices are and he said around 1800-2800, then travel costs are extra - this should be average? Hope it gives you a ballpark- they always seem to be quite a bit cheaper than photography, so sad, they do great work and put in LOTS of hours! I've heard so many brides cut this out of their planning because of budgets, and totally regret it in the end, the day goes by so fast! Hope this helps!

Best wishes and happy planning!!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
