I don't know how much anything costs but I hope this amount would cover all expenses as far as the food, flowers, photographer, etc... If anyone can give me a ballpark figure as to what they are spending (including # of guests) it would be greatly appreciated. I am so new to this forum and the whole DW thing that It feels really overwhelming!

Thanks for all the help and quick responses I've been receiving since signing up just one day ago.

Welcome, last I knew outside vendors for catering other than cake isn't an option. As someone who as tasted the food, it's top notch and isn't reminiscent of an AI. Besides, asking someone else to cook would bypass a perk of getting married at Dreams (only paying the set-up fee).

For 20-25 people, 10k will suffice! I know that planning can be overwhelming but we are all here to help. As I tell all brides, invision your day and then go ffrom there. I am also a Dreams bride and 85% finished planning so ask me whatever you'd like.

Good Luck!!!

Thanks for the tip. I did not know that u cannot use an outside caterer for the food, silly and naive of me to think that. I 'm learning so much from this forum and again, I'm so greatful for all the warm and wonderful responses I've been receiving from everyone, yourself included.
Lots of Cabos love.

The idea that u did not use to many flowers for your wedding because the resort is already so beautiful really made alot of sense. I also loved your idea on using a flower submerged in water( I hope that was u Tammy, please correct me if I'm wrong) was awesome and elegant. I really think us brides are so brainwashed to spend so much money on overkill items for a wedding that it's no wonder a wedding in the states cost 40K and up!!!!

Rosa, you are going to fit in on this forum just great. Pretty much all of the brides around here are of the same mind frame. If you look at all the wedding pictures and reviews in here the weddings are usually a fraction of the cost of a US wedding and in my opinion 10 times more gorgeous and meaningfull. There are so many posts and threads around here (ecspecially for cabo) to do things to make you wedding look elegant and buetifull without spending a gazillion dollars.

U are so right Tammy. I liked the fact that u did the flower submerged in water which made it look so unique and elegant as well as the tea candles for the ambiance which made it romantic and intimate(I took a look at your gallery pics and absoultely loved them). Also, u are right that the resort itself provides the decor of a beautiful backdrop. I am so much more comfortable with the DW thing that I'm so excited to get started and can't wait to show off to my friends that spent a fortune on their weddings(HEHE!!!).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
