I used Denna, and I got a beautiful, delicious cake!!! I was so sad I didn't want to cut it!! I had a three tiers, two chocolate fudge with a raspberry filling and one vanilla with mixed berries with a chocolate fudge filling delicious!!
And it looked so pretty!! Anyway here is a picture.

  • 2 weeks later...

I used Deena from Sweet Dreams Cabo and everyone loved her cakes. We did a mini cake and cupcakes and we had the leftovers for the whole 2 weeks we spent there cheesy.gif our friends who are also getting married at dreams this coming year also loved hers so much that they're using her again. Plus she's super reliable and very nice to work with. I think I may have posted pics of the cakes in my review...if i wasn't at work I could try to find some and post them as well.

We tried so many different flavors - she can really do anything - but the apple

cake with french vanilla creme and orange cake with tequila creme won

out. Chocolate was just too heavy. The apple blew us away. I was not expecting it, but my fiance loves apple things and Jennifer suggested we try it with the french vanilla creme. I love it because it's something different, a little unexpected, and delicious! Also, the orange cake with the tequila filling was amazing and I like it because it adds a little local flare to the cake options. We tried lots of chocolate cakes because I'm a chocoholic, but they were all kinda heavy and I figured people would be so stuffed by then that they would want something lighter and a little different than what they can get at home. Happy cake tasting!

I second that. Met her two days ago for a tasting and she is very real and personable. Not to mention her cake was sick!!! We inhaled the samples!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
