First Dress Shopping Appt. Saturday

Recommended Posts

Any advice? I know..I know..bring a camera. hahaha. I'll have my phone so I can take pics of the ones I like. Other than that, anything I should take with me? I bought a bridal bustier, so I'll have that.

I'm excited!smile159.gif I'll have my maid of honor and her daughter with me (who is 13) who is my junior bridesmaid as well as FH's sister who is also a bridesmaid. So that should be plenty of eyes.

My advice:

Eat a little so you are not starving and grumpy while shopping. Don't wear make-up, it might get on the dresses. Wear underclothes that you are okay with the saleslady seeing you in. Try on things that "aren't you" or that you don't think you will like. Once you have them on, it may be "the one". Relax and HAVE FUN! And yes, the camera is a must!

GL... The only thing I can add that hasn't be mentioned yet, is to keep in mind of how the dress would feel in hot weather. IE if your hot now, you'll feel like you'll pass out in Mexico.. Also if you have a bra you want to wear with your dress, bring that with you.

I just went last thursday. I wore a pair of boy shorts from victoria secret and a regular bra. I should of wore a strapless though. I wanted a strapless dress and I had to keep taking down my straps. Your bustier should be good though. Definately eat, it's a long day if your going to multiple places. Goodluck and I hope you enjoy yourself.

Definitely try on different styles, especially those that you may not have intially considered. Also, listen to your gut instinct. If you love a specific dress but 1 person in your group isnt too fond of it, go with how you feel. Remember that its alllll about you!smile159.gif

Most importantly have fun!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
