Newbie considering Playa Fiesta

Hi!

I am a newbie! I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and just got engaged two weeks ago! My fiance and I would love a destination wedding. It is relaxed and it would be great to make our wedding a family celebration and vacation. We are looking into the Playa Fiesta resort because it seems like a perfect set up for what we want. We will have a small wedding with close family and friends! I would love to hear some suggestions about Playa Fiesta or other places similiar to this concept. (I have read many posts about Playa Fiesta already, but more info doesn't hurt!)

Thanks,

Christi

Hi Christi,

Playa Fiesta was our first choice in the beginning. However, we couldn't commit to the room block. Have you checked into all the details with this?

We actually passed this little hotel on our way to Le Kliff restaurant. We whizzed by it in the cab so we didn't get a good up close view but it looks cute. It's south of downtown PV so keep that in mind if your guests want to get out (cab rides there can really add up!).

Other than that I think it looks absolutely adorable and the WCs there seem to really be on top of things!

Good luck!

~ Jaime :)

Hi Jaime-

I have read many posts from you and PVBride about Playa Fiesta! I emailed them last week and they have not responded yet. I am sure they are busy with the holidays and all, so I hope that they respond soon. I looked up Le Kliff and it looks gorgeous. Is that where you are getting married? If you have any info on these two places I would be really interested. Thanks for responding. Have a great New Year. Look forward to talking to you soon!

Ms. Shelley-

Thanks and Have a great New Year's!

Yes, I'm sure they are busy with the holidays. A great thing about them is they will usually offer you a free site visit to stay there a night or two. I've already forgotten the guy's name but he was so nice and easy to deal with via email.

We are not getting married at Le Kliff, although it is a good restaurant with an amazing view! The little area where you have your ceremony looks adorable - it has two grass shaped hearts that you stand on. Our WC said it was very expensive though (we were checking it out for the welcome dinner and she said it's about $100/person!). We are actually thinking of having the wedding at Las Caletas and the Welcome Dinner at a Spa/Healing Center near downtown called "Terra Noble". Both of these places are truly magical!!!!

If you have any more questions I'd be glad to help out - Good luck and Happy New Year to you too!!!

Wow! You're ahead of the game....engaged for only a couple of weeks and already have a good idea on the location.

Jamie Lynne is a great source of info as you've seen.

I was married in Cabo, but if I can help you with anything, don't hesitate to ask.

Good luck and congratulations on your engagement!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
