Veil Decision -- Down to Two.

Recommended Posts

Ok ladies ... This weekend has been all about getting caught up on the forum and getting caught up DW stuff that I haven't gotten around to yet.

Now, it's veil time. I love the veil they showed me at David's Bridal when I bought the dress, but it's almost $200 -- and I just don't see spending that much.

So I've found 2 veils for less that half that cost and would like some feedback. I'm posting a pic of my dress detail so you can see what it will be laying up against.

I want an elbow length veil -- I've picked one that's a 1-tier and one that's a 2-tier.

I also don't know if I should get ivory or champagne.

Or -- should I get a plain veil w/o detailing at all?

Here's my dress detail:

Here's the 1-tier veil w/ detailing (shown in cathedral length but I'd be getting elbow length):

I like the 2 tier (last one) Tami. I think it will look really good with the detailing on your gorgeous dress ( this is the first time I saw it btw). Veils are so much fun and I think the bridal essential accessory. lol

Your day is comming up quickly, you must be getting more and more excited!!

I agree 100%. The veil shouldn't take away from the dress at all, it should only highlight the dress. When I look at the second picture, I see veil right away - I think it'd be too much. I like the first one, but again, I agree - I think something with only one tier and simplified a little, even if it's not completely plain, that'd ADD to your dress in the end. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
