Sand Ceremony

Here are the pictures I had promised awhile back of my sand ceremony stuff. You can see that it's different panes of glass so I'll fill one section with the sand and then put our photo in the other section.

Oooh... I love the frame for the sand ceremony! That will be really neat. Does it seem like it will be able to travel okay?

I love love love the idea of the frame, but I'm not sure I understand how you will pour the sand inbetween the panes of glass... am i slow?

well i do what i can tiffjt . someone has to make sure you arent getting excess sand in your luggage. lord knows you bring in enough in your towels and stuff.

No, you aren't slow... silly! it's open, so I'll tape off the areas I don't want sand to get into and just pour! It's as easy as that. yup, some will fall onto the table, but I'm fine with that.

i got a frame very similar to that from Cost Plus World Market. I haven't gotten then vases yet to hold the sand. Where did you get yours, Tlseege?

Very cool.. I have the same frame except in black.. got it at Target.. it worked out well. Before the ceremony, one of the boys put a bit of beach sand in the bottom too.. now we have the beach sand, then our colored sands on top.. I haven't put a photo in it yet, but it travelled well... just wrapped in bubble wrap then placed in a large zip lock bag.
