he he!! okay, the STD's for all the supplies and the design, printing, & cutting it was $300 for 110 of them. I did the assembly myself.

 

 

 

For the invites, I'm a little confused how i spent so much, but it was around $700 for everything except the assembly which i'm doing myself and i need to buy the postage.

 

 

 

I'm happy how everything came out, but when she gave me my total invoice for $1000...I was like "WOW". Hope it was worth it...cause I'm feeling a bit guilty for spending so much!

that is not expensive at all...ispent $1000 for 50 cards but they were pre assembled and embossed...i knew i wouldn't have time to assemble them and i was leaving to go out of the country for 3 weeks right when they needed to go out so i had to pay for my lack of planning...

$1,000 is a lot, but those are GORGEOUS -- I would say worth it!!

bump tara...i custom ordered my stams with a logo a friend drew for us...totally completed the invitation...takes a minute to order and really quick delivery

Hi girls,

 

 

 

Interested in your thoughts on this topic. Next month I am going to be making my own invitations. I am trying to decide if we should:

 

 

 

A) Include a traditional RSVP card with envelope and stamp

 

Include a RSVP card directing people to RSVP online at our personalized wedding website

 

C) Both

 

 

 

The pro to including both is that people can choose what is easiest for them. However, it means I need to design, purchase, and assemble the RSVP cards, and pay for the stamps on the envelopes. Would it be so wrong to just do Option B

 

 

 

I have no elderly/non-internet-accessible people coming to the wedding. Even my grandma gets online. Do you think people will think it is tacky? Since I am already doing a non-traditional wedding, does it matter if I have a non-traditional RSVP system?

 

 

 

Anyway, you can see that what I want to do is just do online, but I feel unsure of it. I appreciate any thoughts! Are any of you thinking of doing the same thing? Thanks!!

I did both BUT only three did their rsvp online. And I had about 15 RSVPs in the mail and I have 60 guests. (eyes rolling) so.....my situation is no help. Thank goodness for my travel agent keeping a list or I wouldn't know exactly who is coming. I still have about ten people that I have to call. If you decide to do RSVP in the mail I did postcards so it wasn't too bad..but it was a pain in the butt.

I am a tara std fan too! Very nice and very informative. The more information you can give your guests the better it will be for you. I made mine with supplies from paper source. I also included a postcard picture of the gazebo that we are getting married at with the travel agents info on it. (see pix in the link below). Someone on the knot did boarding passes which I thought was really creative too.
