I just have a few questions for you guys, I went through this post but there are quite a few pages..

1. Is there an extra costs for guests to take the boat over to the wedding?

2. What hotels do people stay at?

3. How far is PV from Riviera Maya, could my guests still stay at the PAlladium?

4. We are getting a rate of 91$ per person per nite at the Palladium (AI) is there something like this in the PV area?

Is June too rainy?

Sorry for all the questions, but if I am going to change locations i need to get on it... I am nervous and scared!! help..

Yari answered all the others, but as for #3- PV in relation to the Riviera Maya, are you asking if your guests could stay at the Palladium in RM and go to the wedding in PV? I'm not sure if I read that right.

PV is on the West coast of Mexico while the RM is on the East coast. I don't think you would want to work out the logistics of that! :)

I don't know many rates for hotels in PV. We stayed at the Barcelo La Jolla De Mismaloya (AI). I can't remember the specific rates we had- no room block. Most guests stayed in PV for a week for $1500- including airfare.

I would check into RIU- I think they have decent pricing for an AI too. I think it's less than the Barcelo.

I can't believe I never though of Las Caletas before finding this site!! We went there last year when we were in Puerto Vallarta to see Rhythms of the Night.

I've emailed Kelley and received a quote back so now all I have to do is convince FI that this is the place for us!
I can't wait to book it...I'm sure I'll have a million questions for you all!
hooray! convincing your FI should not be too difficult!
So far deciding on Las Caletas has been the best decision ever! They really do take care of it all!

hmmm not sure honestly....that does seem a bit on the high side for being so far out...what dates are you looking at? I just did a quick search and found Continental for $630 in June

Well ladies, I think I'm basically done planning my wedding! Aside from a few DIY projects like welcome letter and wedding timeline, I'm done. It's nuts! Kelley and I have everything all set up and I'm astonished that it's August and my November wedding is basically done. I'm soooo excited for the time to finally get here!!!

First and for most I want to say "Hello" to everyone again...it has been ages since I have posted anything and life has just been so crazy!

Congrats to all of you LC brides...I have enjoyed your pictures so much and you all made beautiful brides! Congrats to Anne on her baby girl. She is precious and I am happy to see that she is doing so well :)

Shannon, I live in Calgary too and I am in the same boat as you with respect to family being spread out! We are staying at the Grand Marival for the week and all 35 guests are staying at the same resort! We have a rate of $1500/person including taxes and fuel surcharges for the week of November 8-15 2008. If you would like a recommendation for a travel agent, just let me know and I will give you her email address! If you choose LC, you are making a great choice (but I am slightly biased!) Welcome to the forum! The ladies on this site are so helpful and friendly!!

For May 2009 from DFW it's around 600+ roundtrip. You're further so it might be more. My TA actually suggested waiting a couple months because airfare is so high right now (maybe due to summer travels?). Do you have a TA yet? If not I would definitely recommend hiring one. As you can see on the banner on the top of the screen we have several great ones right here :)

hey girlies,

i was just writing an email to the girls going to LC early with me, and I was wondering, for you girls that have done this already, what you all brought over with you?

Did each of your girls bring their own shower stuff?

i was thinking of getting them each little soaps and good disposable razors, and brining shampoo. but my mom thinks that they will each bring their own anyway. thoughts?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
