Did you have your dinner on the beach? Or is that under that thatched roof thingy ma-bob? Ok...so I'm sure you understand what I mean. It just looks like open air.

and here's the same thing, just further away. you can see a table for 2 on the left - that's where paul and i sat. it's usually where the DJ sets up, but he just set up on the beach instead.

Awww...that's right. You weren't able to drink. This is more a question for Jamy since it sounds like she drank yours and her share!

I know they don't have electricity, but the kitchen does. Under special request, can they have a blender? We are HUGE blended margarita fans and when I told FI we can't have them he was so disappointed. I told him a few shots of tequila would make him forget all about it. It would be so fun to surprise him with one though.

As for the bar, there were times Nicole/staff brought me drinks, times my friends did, and times we were hanging by the bar lining up shots so everyone grabbed their own. I don't think you can arrange for a blender, but it doesn't hurt to ask. They are big on nature and blenders don't fit into that, lol.

My decorations were quite simple, similar to Lindsay's. The only thing extra I paid was like $25 for petals to go on the tables. Everything else was free, or should I say came with the package. We had 35. We wanted one big table too because we like family style gatherings rather than a restaurant feel, we were seated at the head. There ended up being one table next to the big long one. It looked nice and everyone was together, which was important to us. Here are some of my pics, if you need shots of specific things let me know:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
