Las Caletas Brides ~ Post HERE! (THREAD CLOSED)

Recommended Posts

Hi Ann....thank you so much for the info...what a small and magical world it was to have met you at the birthday party. My sister has decided on LC and is just trying to find a date and a hotel and well all the other things you need for a wedding. I gave her your name and she will be in touch with questions I am sure. Much peace to you and your family. By the way, did I mention what a beautiful and striking daughter you have?

Joelle - check out "Victor's" in the Marina for your welcome dinner! We requested the inside room and had it all to ourselves ~ it was amazing! $15 per person for choice of fajitas (beef, chicken, shrimp), guacamole appetizer and 1 beer all included! Victor is the cutest old man, and comes out and takes shots with you! wink.gif Buy a beer... get a shot for free! The tequila is weak (thank goodness! lol) but still... pretty funny! My Grandma and MIL both had shots! woohoo!!! LOL And Martin's Dad paid for 5 songs from the Mariachi band so we all got to dance to live music for about 25 bucks! Everyone loved it! GREAT place for a casual Welcome Dinner :)

Jaime - welcome back! can't wait to read your reviews, etc and hear EVERYTHING!

Jojoxxo - you won't regret having your visit to LC. I too was nervour about the boat, language barriers, grounds, etc - and had to convince FI this was the right decision. Our trip last Feb. was perfect and confirmed how magical everything at LC really is.

Side question for all you brides (especially those that had many in your bridal party) - what did you do about a rehearsal? We have 6 standing on each side, and several sets of parents, gparents. Do we just mock up a practice at the hotel? Should I ask Kelley to come to the hotel a day or two early? How did you work getting everyone off the boat and in order without scrambling around in your dress? - Trisha

Hey Trisha - We had a big bridal party as well (6 bridesmaids [one of the girls couldn't make it last minute], 7 groomsman, and two ring bearers. Kelley just came to our hotel and addressed the whole group. It only lasted like 15 minutes then Brent, our dads, and I sat down with Kelley separately to go over the little details of the ceremony.

Kelley & Nicole take care of all the details once you're at LC so you don't have to worry about anything...especially getting everyone in order. You're just there to take everything in and have an AMAZING time. That's what I did!! :-)

HEY! I am soooo glad that she decided on Caletas ... she made the right decision, if you ask me. Please tell her to contact me if she has ANY questions - I totally understand the anxiety that comes with planning a wedding in another country, sight unseen. She will be blown away, I promise!

And thanks for the comments about Gwen! What a small world, right?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
