1. Did the cup order ever go through?...am I too late?
2. If so...does any one else want to go in on another oder?
Unfortunately, we did already make the order for the cups. But, I'm sure they'll be some other who will want to do it. They turned out so awesome and all of our guests thought they were so neat!

Hey Brittany,

quick question for you...Brent did not get to Caletas until all of your guests arrived? is that correct?

So then I am assuming you guys took most of your pics after the ceremony? how was the sunlight and such? did it all workout fine with him coming with the guests?

we are trying to decide if we should have Nicole set up a different boat to take Reggie and arrive at caletas around 3ish before the guests so we can take pictures.

He is golfing earlier on Friday and just don't want him to be all rushed to catch the earlier boat....so if sunlight and everything was fine with pics after the ceremony that is the route we will go too

thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

oh good!! i've been wondering this same thing - i mean, i suppose i could just be patient and wait until you post your pictures!!! woooohoooo - can't believe we are getting married on the same day...:) the light has been the one issue that keeps me wondering when i see pictures. i know it will be gorgeous either way but some weddings are super super bright and others seem to be just at dusk...we get enough of that "dusk" look here in sf. bring on the sunshine!

I must have missed that part in my review. I would definitely recommend having Reggie go over a little earlier. We were really fighting for daylight after the ceremony; especially since the boat over was running like 45 minutes late (thanks to my notoriously late family!! :-) Beth, our photographer felt pretty rushed and I really wished we would've been able to take some pics beforehand. I know Beth still captured some AMAZING shots, but she too was working against the sunset. We should be getting our professional pics back soon, so I'll have more insight then! :)

Hey Everyone....

So Nicole has a blue starfish boquet jewel that Tara (tvt) used for her wedding in November. She was nice enough to leave it with Nicole/Kelly at Las Caletas for me to use at my wedding next week...I will be leaving it for Jaime to use in May! we (Jaime and I) were thinking that it would be a nice touch if the BDW Las Caletas brides wanted to borrow the starfish and then leave it there to pass on to eachother!

I am not sure if we have a list going or anything for that? If not I would be willing to start a list and keep track of who wanted to borrow it and coordinate that with Kelly/Nicole. Or it may just even be easier to let Kelly/Nicole know that we will just leave the jewel with them and as BDW brides request it they can just pull it out for each of our weddings?

either way...just wanted to let you all know that we are going to start to pass this starfish on to eachother...I THINK Tara was the first to use this starfish? (although I am not certain, maybe it was Yari?)

anyway, let me know what you all think!

Andi!!! AHHHHH!!! I know we already talked today on FB but OMG! Seems like just yesterday YOU were at a month, and now I'm at 1 month 10 days and you are at 10 DAYS!!! AHHHH!!!! LOL

I am sooooo darn excited for you, chica!

Ann- is there an updated list of BDW LC weddings coming up? Can't believe mine is finally gonna be on that list! Wahooo! woot2.gif

And yeah, I'll def leave the starfish there for other BDW brides.

Didn't someone (Rachel?) leave her beads there? I think I'll use that for decoration. (know what I'm talking about? the long strands behind the chuppa?) Andi - how are you having your chuppa decorated? I think I'm just gonna let Nicole go with whatever she feels like cause she's got a good eye and at this point the less stress, the better!

I think these might be the beads that LC Rachel left there?

Those look great!! I'd like that too! lol But like I said I'm just gonna let Nicole go with her gut - she knows the place better than I do. She already picked out my flowers for me and I love 'em! So she's on the right track wink.gif

Oh and Andi, Martin and I finally decided to do "before" shots or "first glance" as I like to call it - where you get to see each other right before the wedding and the photog. can capture those great moments. Not to mention neither of us will be sweaty at that point, and I'll be all dolled up with fresh makeup - lol wink.gif so I think what we're gonna try and work out is to split up the extra hour - have the guests w/Martin come over a half hour early so we can get those shots in, and then have an extra half hour at the end for dancing and such. I'm sure the sun will be out late for us since it will almost be summer, but think it will be more relaxed this way. Wrote Elizabeth Medina (my photog) today asking her thoughts on this, but I'm pretty excited because before martin was SUPER traditional about these kindsa things including not seeing each other at all before the wedding. We will still stay in separate rooms the night before though.

Eeeee, so excited!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
