Las Caletas Brides ~ Post HERE! (THREAD CLOSED)

Recommended Posts

Pazoop - My guests and I are all arriving on the 16th.. with Nolitours. We looked at sunwing but chose the Nolitour package cause the flight left early in the morning so we could hang out on friday on the beach. And of course they called my this weekend and said that they cancelled that flight and everyone will be leaving on a different flight 13 hours later. I was mad, but I can't do anything. All they could say was "all flights are subject to change". I am just glad the wedding is not on the 17th, then I would be really mad. So I wish that I had gone with sunwing now. Cause we are now arriving in PV at 1230 am... It'll be hard for the young kids. But whatever.

We are staying for two weeks, so my guests will be flying home without us and as for the second week.... it's a surprise. So I have no idea.. I was told a different hotel and I was told to pack light. Which just means I will be sending an extra suitcase home after the first week with my mom.

Just an FYI to Sunday brides, the timing can change because they dont do day tours on Sunday. We are having our guests board the boat at 3:30. I also wanted more reception time, so moved things around. They are really flexible.

What do people suggest? Did you go with a filling? Did anyone do chocolate cake? Does it taste like traditional wedding cake?

Thanks!!
We just did a simple cake - here's a picture. I can't remember if it was chocolate or white cake!

I'm filling in the areas on our Web site and am coming up blank on some of the details. The wedding isn't until Nov. 7 of 09 so we haven't really sat down with the details yet.
I posted mine on this site somewhere, let me see if I can find them.

Did all or any of you trash your wedding dress the night of or the next day? (By trash I guess I mean get wet).

I want to, but am thinking about bringing it home all wet? Hmmm.... Was it a total hassle. I will be sending it with my mother if I do do it.

I did the next day. However, we had 7 more days in PV before we left so I didn't have to worry about my dress being wet on the way home.

But traveling with a wet dress wouldn't have changed my mind about TTD. It was so much fun and I love the pics so I would have still done it even if we left PV that same day. Would have just thrown the dress in a large plastic bag and then hung it up to dry at home.

I was supposed to, but didn't feel good so we ended up canceling. So bummed! But I hadn't thought about the logistics of it all. How long after before you leave?

Thank you guys so much for all of your stuff girls. It definitely helped. I'm SO excited -I went to Denver this weekend to shop with my mom and sister in law for my dress and found THE ONE after about 40 minutes. It's so funny. I never really believed in that "when you see the right dress you'll know" stuff but it was so true for me.

And the creme brulee and mousse is not included in the price, Nicole is working on a price to have them done for me. But because we are not having a cake which is included she said she would take some money off the price of the individual desserts. I'll let you know.
Yeah I'd love to know the pricing when you get it. THanks! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
