We are staying at the Tropicana hotel. We have stayed there many times before and love it! Where are you guys staying? When do you fly down?

I stayed at the Tropicana and loved it!!

My cake was so pretty. It was exactly what I had in mind. The filling we asked for was pineapple, but we got some other red fruit. It was still tasty though.

Yup, this is pretty much what I am thinking - we'd only do the cake for the pics so I'm not sure... we'll see if we have the extra cash when it comes down to it - otherwise we may just stick to the normal dessert menu. smile78.gif

It's all individual I guess, whether it's cake or tequila!! It's all yummy.
Holy moly! Are creme brulees included in the regular dessert menu?? That's Martin's FAVORITE - he would be so happy :)

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone has a sample itinerary from the day of the wedding that I could steal some ideas from..You know, like when the guests board the boat etc? I'm filling in the areas on our Web site and am coming up blank on some of the details. The wedding isn't until Nov. 7 of 09 so we haven't really sat down with the details yet.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having a hard time getting ahold of Elizabeth. I'm using her and she's been great at getting back to me so far. Have you been communicating via email??

It's actually Kelley that I'm working with to coordinate my wedding -- but be kind to Nicole nevertheless! Lol!

We're all staying at the Dreams Hotel. My FI and I fly down on Jan 15 and everyone else in our group leaves on Jan 16 on Sunwing. We're flying commercial down because we're going to stay for 10 days total. We leave the Dreams Hotel on Jan 22 and head to Casa de Mita for 3 nights.

That's so funny -- we're also having smores! I immediately went bonfire = smores and Kelley said it would be no problem to make that happen!

Were using Elizabeth Lloyd for our wedding also and the first time I sent an email it took about 2 weeks for her to respond. She has been very good at getting back to me since than. Sorry to hear you can't reach her! Maybe try againsad.gif Good luck!

JaimeLynne - Hopefully the tequila cake works out I will take pics for sure.

And the creme brulee and mousse is not included in the price, Nicole is working on a price to have them done for me. But because we are not having a cake which is included she said she would take some money off the price of the individual desserts. I'll let you know.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
