Quick question - how early did you all book LC? We are still over a year away...is it too soon? Or is it the sooner the better?
That's great! I booked over a year out.

LC Rachel. I always thought that was short for Las Caletas. Si?
LOL- it does stand for LC. I want to be just rachel but someone already has the name. So I guess I'll be the promoter of LC- maybe I should start getting some bucks out of this deal. haha

No, not too soon. I only booked 9 months out for this October. You're golden!

Did each of your girls bring their own shower stuff?

i was thinking of getting them each little soaps and good disposable razors, and brining shampoo. but my mom thinks that they will each bring their own anyway. thoughts?
I bought these little duffle bag like makeup bags that were super light weight and had lots of room and cost about $1 from Target. We filled them with travel size toiletries and a disposable razor. I took a shower first and forgot mine in there, but everyone used mine after that and didn't use their own, except for the razors I think. We each brought our own makeup, hair products and brushes, but we shared blowdryers and brought two curling irons, for the four of us. It worked out really well, while someone was in the shower someone was drying their hair. I can tell you this. It looks like a large space but when you get a bunch of girls trying to get ready all at the same time, it gets crowded, so try to minimze the amount of stuff you are bringing to keep the stress levels down and keep from tripping over stuff.

I left my sea shells and glass beads there. I asked Kelley if she still had Anne's glass and she did so we also used that to help decorate.

no harm in booking now, especially if there's a date you really want, or even day of the week. saturdays book up the fastest. we were only engaged about 8 months, and I think we booked 6 months out. but we did just go by what dates were available.

Great idea! I like the simplistic route!

Aww thanks Ann! I do remember seeing those before and I love those too!

Quick question just to clarify...LC charges additional for the centerpieces? But provides the table runners and votive candles? I just haven't talked to Nicole about this part yet! thanks!

Yep, table runners and votives are all included at no extra charge. But centers you pay for. I want to say 35 or 45/dollars each, don't know for sure since i'm not doing them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
