Nicole came to Dreams the day or so before the wedding to go over things and take the couple things we had to give her.

My FH and I also don't want to do a site visit and leave our guests at the resort. Also, I taking those 2 spots from the site visit to bring over my mom and sister along with my 2 bm's and moh. I was just thinking I would give her everything on the day of. I figure we are getting there so early there is plenty of time to go over things.

Hi Rachel,

We asked Nicole to come to the hotel Riu Jalisco for a rehearsal. She did and we gave her our things for the wedding. We also took some we forgot to give her the day of the wedding when we girls went early. If you do go early in the morning before your FH and guests...you will give it to her and you don't get to go to that location again until the wedding. They set everything up, right after the tour groups leave. They have to wait until they leave so they have access to the cove with no interuptions. You really truly don't need a site visit unless you are wanting to see it first hand. Because of the many weddings they have set up, Nicole and Kelley know exactly what they are doing and you can just relax. I think that is the beauty of their company. They have some pretty standard configurations for the tables and the wedding itself. If you look at the pic below you will see that the direction they have facing the chairs and chupa, worked for the size of guests and beauty of the water view. I guess my point is you will give her the items and then be off to enjoy your day before you come back down that way for the wedding entrance. THEY DONT LET YOU COME SEE IT. They want you to be as amazed as the guests and you will be. We are still getting calls about the wedding. We just got our CD and it was worth every single penny we spent to have it shot there. We used Nicoles professional camera guy and he did an amazing job. He was fun and we laughed our butts off watching it. I would love to relive those moments again. wink.gif Hope this helps!

You can do that? Bring 2 people over early for free if you don't use the site visit? We planned on paying for a couple more. SWEET! I love when I find out that I don't have to pay for something I had already saved money for.

Thanks for the advice girls. I won't do a site visit after all and if the crew doesn't set up the day of until the tours leave, then I don't see any reason why I couldn't give it to them when I come over in the morning. Works out perfect!

yup - we did this too. we didn't use our site visit, so Nicole just said she'd apply it to the extra girls i brought over early.

remember, for those that don't want to haul the extra stuff to LC the day of, Nicole came to our hotel a few days before the wedding to meet with us. that was an option too! you'll already be carrying your stuff for the day at LC, plus all of your wedding stuff (dress, shoes, accessories, etc.)

She told me she has a wedding Tues and Weds and mine is on Thurs. So I thought she would be busy with those and unable to meet me. I don't have THAT much stuff to take over there- plus I think my FI and his best man are going over early so I will put them to work carrying stuff. We are taking the whole wedding party over for some nice relaxation time. We aren't traditional so we don't care about seeing each other the whole day prior to the ceremony. We just want to enjoy LC!

yea, it's not really necessary. we just had 2 small baggie like things of the aqua stones, and then our "guest book" matte and frame. we also went over the seating chart i think. really nothing that couldn't have happened the day of!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
