Las Caletas Brides ~ Post HERE! (THREAD CLOSED)

Recommended Posts

Oh - good point! I did ask her if she's store them, and she said she would - no problem. The only thing is I don't know yet if my guest count will go over 50 - then I am not sure what I'd do for the rest of the people! Where did you get the placemats, maybe I can just order more?

I know! I suppose it's too late now, but I think Nicole told me there were other color placemats too. Let me check ... actually scratch that, I think she was talking about table runners.

Nicole told me she'd send me pics of the placemats - the only problem is I may go over 50 people, and I won't know for a little bit. I will make up my mind soon - I promise!

Hi again... I just realized that I haven't placed any of our wedding details on this site yet...I sometimes get confused where I end up posting things and I am trying to figure out how to make my pictures smaller so they can be accepted on this forum but so far have had no luck....but I think this might work to show you our invitations we used...these obviously aren't are real ones since again the photo we have is too large but this is off the web and it gives the general idea...we also included beachy themed papers that had all the travel deals and information on them for our guests. Anyways if I ever figure out how to make our pictures smaller I will be able to post the wedding attire and our favours and all that fun stuff. Well hopefully this works!

Hey everyone,

My name is Jamy and thanks to Nicole and Ann for leading me here. Our wedding is creeping up on us too . . . June 2nd. So much to do on my end but I have no worries about Las Caletas. I know everything will be wonderful!

Oh my God those pictures are so amazing!!! I've been there before, but seeing it all decked out for a wedding?!?! I am more excited than ever!!

I bought another dress! I can't believe it; I know I will be more comfortable (tried it on a couple of months ago and thought it was too dressy, now think it is perfect). I am worried though, my bridesmaids already bought their dresses; crushed cotton. My dress is strapless, satin from bust down and chiffon at the bust-does this clash? Is it ok that the material is so different? Anything goes in Mexico, right? Thanks for you help! Jamie.

P.S.will post pics of my new dress soon. Oh, and do love that beige linen suit! Where did you guys get that?

So, Ann (& everyone else) only a few of my guests are staying at Dreams so I don't think I could have a WD there? Maybe so, I'm going to ask Nicole to recommend some restaurants where we could set that up.

We referred most of our guests to Pleasant Holidays, they let you reserve your entire package for $150pp and pay the balance anytime up to 30 days prior to departure. That way a lot of our guests that couldn't commit to pay upfront were able to reserve their trips months ago and have time to pay them off. I'm sure that's why we have so many confirmed so soon!

Yes we should meet up sometime while we are both there.

I'm taking a very relaxed approach to this, seen too many stressful brides who take everything so seriously they don't enjoy their day. So, I'm just having the standard table centerpieces that Caletas offers. I don't even care if I don't see them in advance - they do this all the time, they know what looks good. Maybe that's crazy?!?

Music is more important to us. My brother is going to pre-mix all of our favorite songs and put them on discs, which Nicole said we can play at the reception in lieu of the DJ. We signed up for the DJ at first, then changed our minds because our taste in music is all over the map, and we didn't want to ask the DJ to find all these specific songs that we HAD to hear. I'm sure the DJ is great, but this way, every single song played is hand selected by us and in the order in which we want to hear it.

Instead of traditional programs, we've opted for program fans. Have you seen those? Too cute and not much more $$ than regular programs! And probably helps beat the heat, lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
