I don't mean to hijack, but sometimes the answers are really, really, really hard to find.
well maybe you should refine your searches, think about the internet for example. When you go to google and type in "tip" do you think exactly what you want is going to come up first...umm no, actually you have to be careful about your selection. If I was looking for information on tipping, I would search the word "tipping".
We also have an advanced search on this forum that let's you specify an area, a person, and even more keywords.
This is a very large forum and searching becomes even more inefficient when we continue to post the same things over and over again.

christine is absolutely right. if people searched to begin with instead of posting a new thread on the same topic over and over again, there would not be an issue with so many posts coming up when you do a search. and it would not hurt to do a more refined search. some people just need to use common sense.

the moderators and i spend HOURS combining repetetive threads/posts because people do not bother to search.

and honestly, shame on you for discouraging searching then complaining about too many results coming up when you do search. talk about being part of the problem and not the solution.

      Hey ladies, I have a question -

Do you think it would be too much to ask of the guests if we put raffia fans in their OOT bags with a note saying to please bring with them to Caletas?? I know guests are probably going to be using/needing fans the whole time we're there, and this would save us $$ and luggage space if we could just buy them each 1 fan. Don't know how many people would actually adhere to/remember to bring them along though....

Oh, and welcome matcek! Another Dallas bride getting married at LC! Yay :)

We had 24 people attend our wedding in Las Caletas, Mexico on May 24th, 2009!

We all stayed at The Marriott in P.V., and Honeymooned at The Royal Plantation in Ochos Rios, Jamaica!

hmmmm....how long will most of your guests be in PV BEFORE the wedding? if it is only a day or two then I would just have the fans at the wedding.
My guess is that most guests will probably forget to bring them if you ask them to.

Well, do you care if they don't bring them with to the wedding? You could put a note saying they might want to bring them, but don't be too upset if they don't - I know I probably wouldn't lug a fan along with me, but some might! If you want to make sure they have them at Caletas, I'd just give them out there, KWIM?

It kind of varies. Like, me, Martin, his parents and his little bro and his gf will all arrive the Tuesday before (5 days early). But most guests aren't coming until Thurs, so only 3 days before...

I don't care for the "details" aspect, but rather that they have something to keep them cool - does that make sense?

You know, I think you're right and I should just have those nicer fans out at LC. Trying to find out from Nicole if they can get them down there - that would be AWESOME and really cut down on luggage space. Then I could order some cheaper fans (like the chinese folding paper fans or something like that) to put in the OOT bags...

So I just wanted to pop in to let everyone know that we are back and had an AMAZING time in PV! I will be posting my reviews and pics as soon as possible...but since it may take longer than I'd like feel free to ask any questions (I work for the Chicago Cubs and our season is just kicking off so I'll be hitting the ground running when I return to work tomorrow). Can't wait to share the details with everyone!!!

                  Britt -
First and foremost - Welcome back!!!! I am SO excited to hear all about it : )
I'm anxious to hear your review of barcelona Tapas. I loved the location and the food while we visited in Feb., but now I am having a hard time getting the owner to get me a confirmation for our welcome dinner. He is responsive by phone, but I want documentation that we have a location!
Have a great day - Trisha
