Las Caletas Brides ~ Post HERE! (THREAD CLOSED)

Recommended Posts

Hello Ladies!

I have been reading all of the fabulous information that you have been sharing and I am becoming more and more excited about getting married in Las Caletas. We are set for May 2, 2009!

I do have a couple of questions:

1. Has anyone worked with Nate Cordova the photographer? He is usually a second photographer with Beth & Elizabeth Lloyd but neither of them are available on that date so they recommended Nate. His work looks great but wondered if anyone had experience with him?

2. We are staying in Nuevo Vallarta and I am looking for a fun little place up there for a rehersal dinner. Any suggestions?

I am sure I will have more. Thanks for any input you can provide. I look forward to sharing more info!

Beth was my photographer for our Wedding and Nate was also a second photographer at our wedding. They were both fantastic and I could not have asked for a more amazing photographer. Our photos were absolutely beautiful, she captured every moment. Now Beth and Elizabeth lloyed are the same person FYI. If you choose to go with them you will not be dissapointed. Email me at maegz_q_9@hotmail.com and I can send you some pro pics they took. They do fantastic work and they are both also amazing people to work with.

Hey Brittany,

which coordinator are you working with? Kelly or Nicole? Have you started working out your details with them yet? did they contact you to start working through that stuff?

I know I am still over 2 months out, and I also know everything will get taken care of...but I am just getting anxious to start to get the minor details worked out!!!!!!!!

Hey Andi!

I totally understand the whole anxious thing!! :) Kelley is our WC. She sent me a checklist recently of all the details to finalize. Basically I'm using different ideas from almost every LC bride on the forum (HUGE thanks, ladies!!!) so it will make it really easy for Kelley to duplicate. I'll let you know as I start to finalize more of the minor details with her as I get closer...less than 2 months away! Crazy!!!

Hey Gals,

I have been learning so much from the communication on this Web site. I don't get married until June, but I have accomplished so much. One questions I did have is do you recommend any Web sites to get ideas for cakes and flowers? Also have any of you used the mariachi band? I am highly considering this as it would add so much flavor of Mexico to the wedding. Would love to hear your thoughts and I will be sure to post pictures of what I have so far - at least when I figure out to do that.

Thanks!

Erica

Hey Erica,

welcome to the LC thread wink.gif
For the mariachi's, at our site visit in December Nicole did mention to me that the cost of th Mariachi's are much more than the Mexican trio group (not sure if that matters to you or not).

I too want to add that little flavor of Mexico...and haven't quite decided between the trio and the mariachis, although my mom did point out that if you have the mariachis, while they would add a great mexican vibe, their more formal attire might be too formal (at least for my taste). We are having such a casual wedding that the trio may be better?

That is totally just my thought on that, I am sure both are great!

I have heard that the full mariachi is really loud, and people say that they cant hear over it at all. I think the trio was more peoples favorite. I didnt do the trio or fire dancers, but if we had more people, I totally would have.

As far as websites for cakes and stuff, they are awesome at replicating any picture you have. You can even do a google image search and send your WC the pics. Couldnt be easier. I loved everything about getting married there!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
