Aww Melissa, that moved me too! We first visited LC on Rhythyms of the Night, that's how we got the idea to marry there.

At my wedding I didn't get to explore the back end of the jungle, but I remember the feeling you described from our first visit. Isn't the pyramid beautiful? After dinner on the water at a table for 2, and the dancers/Aztec show, we wandered down some path too. We ended up in the hills at a spot with 2 hammocks and were shocked nobody else was there! (come to find out there are lots of places like that at LC!).

Anyways, we sat there swaying, with the sound of waves and not much else and said "this is the shit!'. LOL It was magical and surreal and everything anyone who has been there knows. We sat there and said "Michelle would die if she were here" and so on, about our friends and family. We found out they did weddings and it was a wrap....and Michelle and Co. were there for our wedding a few years later and are still raving about LC.

Thanks for sharing, that evoked fond memories :o)

How beautiful it is. How organized Nicole and Kelley are. How I didnt really need a large wedding cake. How much fun it was to dance. How tastey the food was. How much drinking we did and still stood. How short the walk from the stairs to the alter was. How quickly the sun went down in January. How we really did need some shawls for the ladies w/ the cool breeze. How important it was to keep things going w/ all the activities we had going on. How we could allow the slideshow to continue throughout the evening. I should have added more pics to it. How others noticed if they werent in it wink.gif HA How quickly it was over rolleyes.gif

How hard Nicole (and Kelly now too) worked to make our day special - just for us. Nicole really made us feel as if it was the only wedding they had there (at least I felt that way). It was so hard to imagine that they had a wedding the very next day - and would be doing the exact same things for that couple, and the many couples to follow. They really made us feel like we were the absolute, most important, and only ones there. Sorry, I'm not explaining this very well, but they just make you feel so special!

There are so many other moments - but that was probably one thing that really sticks - it was OUR beach and OUR private cove for that day/night.

Very cool feeling.

Lindsay

(I will think of more as well - can't believe I missed this thread until now!)

Yes, I think they have a magic drinking fairy there because even my guests remarked they had never drank that much tequila and not felt sick or passed out...lol Not to mention tequila on the boat ride home...how crazy is that?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
