AmI the only one that thinks 200 posts is a bit much, some of the forums are spamed to death, and cluttered to increase the post numbers of the posters...

First off, I wonder why you care about the "noob" status.  That's a legitimate question.  When I first joined I never even noticed those silly titles!

Second, I challenge you to find much (if any?) spam on this forum.  We work very hard to make sure that doesn't happen.  If you do find something, please report it and it will be reviewed by the moderating/admin team.

AnnR, quick Q for you (and apologize if I have missed it in the FAQs, but I looked, I promise!). When I change from a noob to a Junior Member, is that when I can have a signature and my posts won't have to be moderated? Also, how long does it take for them to be moderated and post, on average? I feel like some never do, but maybe I'm just not waiting long enough?

Thanks - just trying to reach a higher status so I can be more active!!!

this is what I found out ...

when a member becomes more seasoned (usually around 10 posts) their posts will usually not be moderated unless:

1. it has a ton of links in it (like those spammers do with nike, ipad, pihone, etc).

2. or there is a word in the post that sets of mod queue (like porn, sex, or something else)...

so it is sort of multi-fold.  being an established member will def. make their posts go through unless they are doing some shady, spammy behavior.

It won't happen overnight, but I think within a week you could achieve 150 posts. I'm in the same boat as you are and managed to get almost 80+ posts so far and joined only recently, all I have done is add my 2 cents throughout the forums and discussions. Good luck

Thats what I am doing. I know some of the forums are older but I really enjoy reading through them and then adding my thoughts and feelings. I love this site so far....really nice people and not a lot of spam at all!

Looking forward to reading more and more!

Happy Planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
