There is one invitation designer who offers a 15% off rate for DIY option - she basically cuts all the layers, prints, and send you all the pieces for you to put together yourself. Problem is there are about 4 layers for the main invitation part and 2 for the insert and rsvp and I need 150 invites (I know - ridiculous, but my mom insisted I invite all our long lost relatives, etc.)

So once I finally decided ok, it is worth paying that 15% for the designer to do it, she told me she won't be able to get them to me until mid-Feb, whereas if I choose the DIY option, I can get them by the 3rd wk of Jan. I need to give my site the final count by March 15th, so I feel like sending out my invites mid-Feb would be too late, especially since once I get them I'll still have to address them.

So I'm wondering for those DIYers, how hard was it to put layers together and how long did it take per layer or per invite?

THANKS!

Great idea! bunny_4.gif I completely agree ... gather a few girlfriends for the task .... it will go by faster than you think --- you'll get a system down and you'll be done before you know it! Good luck --- I can't wait to see them when you're done!

BTW --- Stephanie - I love your new siggy pic (which may not be that new, but I wasn't on so much in December ...)! It's super-cute!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
