Ways to involve people in the wedding

Recommended Posts

I posted this as part of another thread but thought it would be more approrpiate here. Anyone have any good ideas on how to include people in your wedding without being a bridesmaid/groomsmen beyond doing a reading or passing out the fans or something?

THANK YOU!!blush2.gif

You can have them carry something down the aisle and place it on the alter, like an unlit candle or framed photo of someone special. Or just walk down the aisle as a "special attendant" or something and then take a seat rather than stand with the wedding party.

My SIL walked down the aisle with her 2 kids then took a seat, and I've been to weddings where all the parents and grandparents were escorted down the aisle and seated, and this was also noted on the program.

We are trying to find out the wedding songs of each married couple that is attending -- and playing each song during the ceremony. We will either announce each couple as their wedding song is played -- or just make a blanket announcement that we hope they enjoy hearing their own wedding song during our special night.

Great idea Tami!

I am having the same problem. I have this really tight group of 6 girls that I have been friends with since we were 11. We still do everything together including our own holiday dinners and stuff. I always imagined them and my sister as my wedding party, but FI has 2 sisters and a SIL that has been around for 11 years. I also need something for these people to do if I have my girls as my BMs.

PS BMs also means Baby Mama so I crack up when I write about my BMs

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
