Anyone been there?

THis is one of our top picks right now... I've been doind some digging for reviews...
Curious to know why it is "smelly"huh.gif

I love the idea of the church... and also the fact that there are nearby things for guests to do other than lay around all day...unless that's what they are there for!

I am also considering this resort beacause of the great sounding kids program it offers. Kids can attend a camp that is seperate from the others area(on the resort though). I have 20 confirmed with at least four children so it is important to me that everyone can have a relaxing time. I am not getting married until winter 2008, but it never hurts to look early.

As for the smell, I have heard it is because it is musty in some of the older rooms, it just went through major renovations and the newer reviews of it are better. Hope people can post any information they can on this resort.

Yes, please, make him go! and give us info.

I know there are lots of people 'considering' it, but I can't find anyone that actually stayed there... anyone anyone??

Otherwise, It's going to be all up to you Jason to tell us everything!!!

Am I also correct in thinking that Jason is the only one actually booked with a wedding here?

Thanks Ladies (and gents... )

TripAdvisor reviews always have to be taken with a grain of salt. There are quite a few bad reviews on there for Dreams Tulum, but almost all of them had to do with construction, mold smell (in the tropics?? go figure) or misrepresentation of the resort by the company they booked their trip with. Some people went to Dreams Tulum thinking they were staying at a 5 star resort, which Dreams Tulum is not. I would be disappointed too if that is what I was expecting. As far as I know, the construction is complete at Dreams Tulum. That gets rid of the noise complaints or the complaints of having to look at a construction site while on vacation. Lastly, is the smell complaints. Mold grows in humid climates! Tulum is a warm, humid climate year round. Mold will grow to some extent. Of course the smell should not be very noticeable, but it might be something you just have to live with to a certain extent. Bring scented candles, burn incense or use spray freshener if it bothers you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
