I don't think you're too early. It's great to have an idea of what you want so you can research & save up some $$$$. I wish I had started planning this St. Thomas Wedding as soon as we got engaged (November of last year).

Suny~Feb 2010 too! Although I'm planning at the end of the month. We still haven't decided where & what WC though. We both like the idea of Bolongo Bay Beach Resort and I've contacted Lori who sent me much information.

1. Name: Brooke

2. Where are you from: Upstate NY

3. Where are you getting married in St Thomas: Haven't decided yet! We originally wanted the beach, but now we might do a private villa instead

4. When are you getting married: 6/6/10 - 6 years to the date from when we started dating

5. who is you WC: N/A - We haven't decided if we want to use one yet or not.

We decided on St. Thomas because we wanted to go somewhere tropical and beautiful, but still wanted the ease of a US Territory. It works out well!

As of now, we have booked Bellagio Estate, and we're having 18 of our family and friends stay there with us for a week!

I'm just north of Albany. Honestly, not too far upstate, but sometimes you say "NY" and people just figure the city! lol

I'm very excited about the Bellagio! I love that there is so much space, and there are so many bedrooms. I think it's going to be fun to have our family and friends all in one location like that. It'll be a big party the whole week!

Just a quick side question... anybody know anything about Norbu?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
