I am not using Weddings the Island Way. I never indicated who my WC was because i am not trying to talk badly about any planners. I was just expressing my concern. I am happy to report that I found another planner and things are back on track. I'm very happy with the amount of communication this planner is showing me

Weddings The Island Way,

I am so sorry that you were mistakenly picked as the planner that I was using. I actually talked to you guys on the phone about this situation and you were very helpful.

To Scubadiva,

I was not refering to Weddings the Island Way. I'm not sure where you got that from but they were not my planner. I never indicated who my planner was.

Where I thought I saw it from was a post someone else had. I did indicate if I was wrong please correct me and I am glad you did! So my mistake and I am glad you are getting great communication from them because that is all I have received too!

Westxgrly & Hugrad,

I am looking at a wedding in the Wyndam at the St. John Terrace Gazebo location. I am just starting the communication process with the planner there. Are either of you planning on having the guests do the all inclusive plan? Hugrad- Are you doing a formal reception there? I'm having a smaller group and I'm hoping to be able to just all have dinner together instead if we so the all inclusive. Also are you planning on doing a travel agent for your guests to book through or just on their own?

Hugrad,

Congratualtions on your up coming wedding. Since you are doing it through Wyndham, do you go through their planner and do they chose all the vendors for you? or can you use your own vendors? Thanks for any info you might have. I am wanting to do my wedding in a Gazebo overlooking the ocean. I like the Wyndham's gazebo, but open to other locations with similar scenic views.

Okay after all the posts about the confusion on who the planner I WAS using, I started to feel bad because I really don't want to ruin anyone's career. I went back to the email that I got from the planner and this is a direct quote.

"Every wedding just takes a lot of time to make sure that they are perfect and we are at the beach making sure that our weddings go smoothly almost daily and by the time we get back, we don't feel like doing office work, we're just tired."

In your opinions, was I being unreasonable or would you also look for another planner?

Tiffanyan02,

I am actually doing a 7-day cruise from Miami. And those guests that want to join us on the cruise can and then if there are any guests that just want to fly in, I will probably post general package information or resources on my website for them. But from what it looks like.... it seems most of them will chose to go on the cruise. I am looking at 30 guests right now.

No you are not being unreasonable. You are correct in wanting to find another planner. That response seems very unprofessional. Why would you want to do business with someone that does not want to do their job. Good luck with the entire ordeal.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
