Thanks so much for the welcome!

Anaiah, I do have a few questions for you! I'll have to compare Ashley's pricing to see if we can afford her, I'd love to see any photos you have when you get them! I can't find a website for Molly Malone's, this is a place I was considering but the website comes up inactive. Are you pretty familiar with it? I really appreciate the info and if you want to, please pm me.

Thanks!

Mandie

Hi everyone, just wanted to stop in and say hello. I just scheduled a trial trip to St. Thomas for 4th of July to go check out ceremony venues and hotels. Leslie has been awesome in keeping me informed and giving me suggestions. We plan on checking out..

St. Peter Greathouse

Marriott Gazebo

Wyndham

Villa Botanica

Secret Harbour

Havana Blue

Mafolie

Agave Terrace

Blue Moon

Oceana

Should be a busy weekend but I know I'll feel better after I check out everything in person- it's so hard to read online and hear all the negetive feedback on EVERYTHING! We're hoping to do an outdoor wedding not directly on the beach but in a gazebo or right off the ocean.... And planning on about 40 guests. I've heard great things about Havana Blue but we're not sure our guests will all love the exotic food... we'll see. We booked a room at the Marriott for our trial run to see how it is. I'll post reviews of everything I see! Anyone need me to check anything out for them?

We got our Blue Glass photos back this week. Here is a link if you are interested. I am SO GLAD I did TTD shots. They were our favorites! We didn't print anything from our actual ceremony, but did canvas prints of several of the casual beach shots. Make sure you have an idea of what you want to do. I got several good ones here on the board (reclining on the beach, the Corona shots, etc.). Also, our ship (the Glory) cleaned my dress when we got back and it was completely unharmed from our time in the water.

Welcome to all the new ST brides. For some reason I hadn't been getting notifications of new messages for this thread, and I see we have lots of new brides. Best wishes to you all!

Are you able to share how long your session was? I believe our coordinator is working with Blue Glass and I'd like to know whether or not we should book extra time with the photographer as we currently only have an hour.

I think we did the $500 for one hour thing, which I believe was originally supposed to include 72 shots. However, we ran over a little on time and they sent us nearly 120 photos on the disc. They also did some artwork on some of the shots (i.e., making the whole thing black and white except the bouquet, etc.) without charging us extra. Even though the photographer they sent us (Sulan) was somewhat rigid about what we wanted shot, I was more than happy with the pictures they sent us and the quality of the photos. They were lovely! I would definitely recommend Blue Glass.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
