Prettyhazardous,

I am ALSO marrying my Marine in St. Thomas! Not on the Marine Corps Bday though. lol. Has your fiancè considered his dress blues at all for the ceremony? They'd be bloody hot, but I have indeed seen pictures of Marines in their uniforms for a STT wedding! I'm quite partial to the blues, but he's not into it. Oh well!

OK we need to do a WC poll. Seems Like there are only 3 WC companies in St Thomas Janelle of Island Bliss Weddings (the best of course lol), Paradise Bridal and Weddings the island way.

Congrats Deb I cant wait til you get back. I too and getting married on Lindquist Beach with Janelle Scott. I'll have so many questions for you. I'd love to see ur pics.

Greetings fellow St. Thomas Brides to Be!

I'm contributing our St. Thomas WC name to the list. We're using Leslie from Perfect Weddings of St. Thomas, she's been great to work with so far and we are sure she will not disappoint us when our big day arrives! I will keep you all posted! :)

I know it's been over a year since the last post....just wondering if there are any new brides out there getting hitched in the USVI??

I'm Kristi, from NYC, getting married on St. Thomas (don't know where yet), date is May 8th, 2010, and I'm thinking of using Janelle from Island Bliss Weddings for my WC. Would appreciate any advice on ceremony/reception sites!!! Thinking of a wedding from 50 and maybe up to 100 guests. My fiance and I were thinking of a very private day, and one where we could customize the wedding to represent us best. Thanks for any advice you girls may have!!!!!!!

Hello Kristmass

I am actually having my pastor come for my wedding. Therefore we're able to work with someone we're close to to create our actual ceremony. We're still up in the air re the reception site but we are getting married on Lindquist beach bc of the privacy this beach offers. Looks like your having a large wedding group. Good Luck I know it'll be special.

Deb

I think that's who we're going to end up going with as well. I also like i think it her name is Ashley Armitage but her prices are just way to much for us.

We almost went with Leslie of Perfect Weddings of St. Thomas. She seemed energetic and professional. However, she was several hundred dollars more for essentially the same wedding as Island Bliss'. Plus, I've read so many reviews of how great a minister Janelle's husband, Stuart, is when performing the ceremony. I know we'll both be nervous, so it would be great to relax with the minister.

Last night we picked out Tom's wedding band. We're coming down to the wire now! lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
