HELP HELP =)
I think a rough estimate would be fine. The WC I have been talking with (Janelle from Island Bliss) gives you a rough estimate and you don't pay until a bit before the wedding when you have your numbers in. I would think your guests would all know 100% at least 6 weeks before the date? Anyway, I'm just telling Janelle we will have 50-75 guests!

Reading all of your posts just makes me that much more excited for my wedding!! I'm still in the beginning phases, but I just can't wait for it to be here (plus who doesn't love to travel to St. Thomas!)

We are having our ceremony and reception at Villa Botanica (we are planning on having around 50 ppl), we plan on using Passion Fruit catering for the food, possibly Bolongo Bay for the rehearsal/Welcome dinner, and Sugar and Spice for hair and make up. My list seems a mile long right now and I'm hoping to cross some things off soon! So far we've booked Villa Botanica and we've bought our plane tickets...but that's all!

If anyone has any thoughts, comments, recommendations on any of those vendors, let me know!

Amy :)

Prettyhazardous...

I just have to say that you did a fantastic job with all your wedding planning...your website was phenomenal and full of great info for all of your guests. I am looking at doing the same type of destination wedding like you. We estimate to have at least 20 guests joining us and cruising out of NY on the Carnival Miracle and marrying on St Thomas. We still haven't decided whether or not to use Carnival Wedding Coordinators or do like you did and book directly with the vendors on the island. May I ask, what was your deciding factor in doing it that way?

I'm wondering what everyone thinks of Lindquist aka Smith Bay Beach? We are going to have 70+ guests, which makes chairs completely unaffordable for our ceremony - although, that many chairs wouldn't have fit on Lindquist Beach anyway, according to Janelle from Island Bliss. For those of you who have been there, do you think it is big enough to fit 70+ people? We really want to get married on this beach!

Hi Stephanie,

I am considering getting married in St. Thomas thru a cruise. My timeline is around yours but maybe earlier, August-October 2011. I haven't decided yet, just gathering info right now, mostly cost. I will keep an eye out for your postings since our timeline is similar.

Happy planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
