SF Bay Area Photogs

Recommended Posts

This year I have been to soooooo many weddings...since I knew that I wanted to have a DW, I never really researched any local vendors. I thought I'd post some of the photographers they used. All of them are amazing, creative artists...i think they all do DWs too!

I like Matt Kim's work but I wanted an engagement session with the pics in a guest book and a custom album. I found Bruce Stenman at Lightsmith Photography who does great work and has some of the best guest books and wedding albums I have seen. I know after the wedding I will want to have the guest notes in the guest book and the albums to remember it all. There is a lot of work that goes into a really great album and I found most photographers don't really want to invest that much time or can't as they have day jobs like Matt.

I loved Ed's photos, but I have such a small budget that I could def not afford. I found Jessie Cho in the East Bay and fell in love with her photos! She's totally versatile and does vintage style washed out pics just as well as bright colors, and very photojournalistic. And affordable! I'm taking her with me to Cancun!

My brother and his wife (and as it turns our, my cousin and his wife also) used Geoff White Photographers.  My brother and his wife specifically had Kelvin at their wedding.  He was fantastic.  He seemed to be everywhere at once, capturing all the great moments, but he wasn't intrusive at all.  He also had a relaxed air making all of the posed portraits as comfortable and fun as they could be.  We got to see the photos for the first time two weeks ago and it made my whole family cry!  Needless to say, I have a feeling I know who I'll be working with when we set the date.  :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
