kate, they will usually not negotiate on the day passes...so try to get as many guests to stay at your resort as those passes will add up...please remind me to talk to you about them..

Edyta, my hairdresser and I were just discussing what to do with my hair last time I was there. She said that she would arrange a session with me to do some practice updos with my veil and decide on what I liked. Then, she said she would let me take pictures of what we did, but then she'd teach me how to do it myself. That way, I can take my pictures with me to the salon in Cabo (wherever I end up going- no clue yet!) and if I don't like how it turns out, I'll be able to do it myself. Or, maybe I'll just do it on my own anyway...

I want a loose, wavy, half-up, half-down sort of thing. Not quite sure yet, gotta start looking at some pics!~

I also wanted to wear my hair down and wavy/tousled. But my hair girl was not very confident. I have fine, straight hair. It doesn't really hold curl. So, she knew that the curl probably wouldn't hold all night and said she was more comfrtable pinning it loosely to hold it in place. I agreed, but told her I wanted it to look like it was about to fall out. She created the look I wanted and hair-sprayed the crap out of it. It felt like a stiff hair piece. And sure enough, during the reception , it was sort of soft again. So talk to your current hair stylist (in toronto) and just ask her for her suggestion with your hair type. They know best & you wnt your hair to look good all night long.

I have the opposite problem, I have natural curly hair (poodle curly) and I straightin it everyday. I also want a half up / half down hair style but when ever anyone trys to curl my hair I end up looking like Shirley Temple because my hair take curl really well. SO I have NO idea ho I'm going to have them do it.

WE should start a "hair idea" thread. That way people can get ideas, and maybe post their actual wedding hairstyle so that future drides can see how well Cabo did... Just a thought.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
