I wanted the same thing for my reception. Candles, candles and more candles!! And with the tiki torches, white lights, chinese lanterns and the luminaries around the pool, my reception was well lit!

Funny you mentioning about your FI hating his picture taken, so does my husband!!! He ALWAYS blinks when there is a flash involved. Oh, but first he has to say "I'm gonna blink" just before the photo. WELL OF COURSE you are going to blink if you say it everytime just before the photo is snapped! SO ANNOYING! I'm curious to see how many photos Juan tricked him into NOT blinking in.
Jeff is such a bad blinker too! When Juan was taking our engagement pics, he kept commenting on how many good pics Jeff was ruining by blinking! Poor guy...

Marc hates that he blinks so much in photos. He would just rather never take another picture at night time again. Daytime is fine because there is no flash or he has sunglasses on. Too bad because he has very nice blue eyes! And we can't ever get nice pictures out together when we're all dress up, etc, bcz it;s usually nighttime sad.gif

Sorry to but in here dreams girls. But Sarah I swear this is every man. Every time Ryan and I go out to eat he says in his sweetest voice "you pick hun anywhere you want", and then ofcourse I pick and he says "Hmm, how bout xyz instead" its like for goodness sakes why go through the hassle of asking me to pick everyweek when he is going to ultimatly tell me he has a better restaurant in mind and we will end up going there because truly I dont really care where we eat anyways. MEN. I tell ya.

Hi everyone!

I am getting married at Dreams on April 15, 2007. Does anyone have Mariana as a coordinator? She sent me the banquet kit but no prices. Any information available?

Thanks,

Amy R.

P.S.- as soon as I learn how to put pics on computer I will. I'm kind of computer illiterate.

We finally got through all the drama and decided on 12/8/07 as our date at Dreams. I'm so relieved that's finally decided.

I think we are going to do a site visit in Feb to pick all the event spots. What are the capacities on the different reception sites at Dreams?

Yay Kate! It's great to have you officially join us as a Dreams bride! You will love it there- we're also planning another site visit for the winter. It will all come together for you once you can see it in person. I think the Oceana Terrace might work well for you, it's the smaller terrace next to the pool. Or, if you want more room and want to be closer to the ocean, the Cascade terrace is nice too!

I think so...Darn it- I don't remember for sure! When we were there, we weren't positive that we were going to have the wedding there, so we weren't paying that close of attention. We also knew we wanted our reception at Oceana anyway...
Tammy, Jenetta, and Nicole would know for sure!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
