Personal Wedding Website

I'm using wedding channel (dot) com - Wedding Dresses, Weddings, Bridal Hairstyles, Gifts, Favors, Honeymoon, Cakes, Flowers, Supplies, Planning. It's not nearly as fancy as others, but it's 100% free! (And I liked it better than the knot's - but that's just me!) You just need to register with the site and can get going from there! VERY user friendly.

Here's our website (so far!!!): Heidi & Reggie's Wedding Website on WeddingChannel.com - Welcome

I started a weddingannouncer site. Someone described the complications with the RSVPs. Can anyone explain this more to me? They said you need a private access code to RSVP. Do you get to pick everyone's access code? Could you make it their initials or something easy so you wouldn't actually have to give them the code?

So far making the site has been realy simple. Someone earlier in this thread asked how to make a square picture. I opened mine in photoshop & cropped it until it looked square. I then went to Image-->resize-->image size. From there you can see the height & width to see if you are close to cropping it into a square. Once you get it close, uncheck the "contrain proportions" box. Its right under height & width. Then change you height to match your width. You now have a square picture.

There is probably a much better way to do this, but thats all I know. If you don't have photoshop, you can do something similar in word.

I'll answer my own question now that I know how it works. It does assign a PIN number for you so you can't opt for something simple the person would already know. I am not using the RSVP feature. I'm asking guests to post in the guestbook if they think they are coming. We are not planning to have a lot of people, so hopefully I can keep track of it without an RSVP section.

Other than that I love weddingannouncer.com. People have been so impressed by my page. I haven't felt limited by the features on the site at all. I have been able to customize it as much as I've wanted to. Best of all its free & there are no adds!

There is a message board section that has been great for planning adventures. People are disscussing places to visit & things they want to do. Its great seeing my family & friends interacting already before the wedding.

I liked the weddingwindow set up. I was slightly frustrated by how little you can customize, but then I had to remind myself that I was trying to save myself time and didn't need to be monkeying around with the code.
Nice website. How does rainfall of envelopes work? Do they charge a fee??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
