Recommended Posts

Awesome! Since you live in Jersey, you are the perfect person to ask! I haven't changed my name yet. Probably waiting until I'm doine with my MA courses. But I was just wondering how easy it is to get the new license? What do you bring? Just the marriage cert and your old license?

I think I need to book another trip to start planning like you did! We actually rented a house in Ocean City NJ for 2 weeks in August because my cousin is getting married there so we decided to make a vacation out of it so I don't think we can afford to book any other trips.

However, I have been meaning to start another thread about this but I'll mention it here for now: I worked for a big travel agency for about 2 years. They were starting to lay people off and things in the office were getting so catty and unbearable about who should go and people lying and stealing clients that I found another job and quit. But my manager from there is still really good friends with my sister and she came to Jamaica for the wedding. She went back and told everybody in the office how great it was and now her boss wants me to come back and do outside sales (no salary no set hours I basically work for myself and use their name, technology, and travel deals). They want me to just book destination weddings. I could make my own hours and do most of the work from home. I would make 60% of the profit made on each trip. So that's something I'm considering doing especially if I get pregnant any time soon because I will not be able to keep working with the emotionally disturbed behavior disorders students that beat me up daily if I get pregnant. So what do you girls think?
Mo, that sounds like such a great opportunity and you would be so good at it. I think you should go for it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
