Grrrrrr! Checked baggage issues!

Great advice ! That is something I tell my clietns to do all of the time!

A few other things I advise-

Cross pack- if your traveling with a companion split up your clothes and put half in each others suitcases. That way if one piece of luggage gets lost nobody is completely out!

Provide a full itinerary & your travel agents contact info to someone at home (along with photo copies of your passports).

On the contact docs inside your luggage provide your TA's contact info also! That way if you can't be tracked down by the airlines they have another point of contact and we can provide additional assistance - heck that's what we're here for :)!

The medication, car keys and important documents advice was head on- never pack those into checked luggage! Always carry with you- and be careful not to place them in the seart pocket in front of you on the plane!

Before giving your checked luggage to security be sure that your white slip states the correct arrival destination! Our friends that we went to Negril with were incorrectly tagged but we caught it before they sent their luggage on! It was tagged with BOS instead of MBJ- when we pointed it out the agent said, "Oops-wrong Millers!" :) I think the other Millers would have been more disappointed- going to Boston with only shorts, swimsuits and warm weather clothing! Our friends had their carry on with a few shorts & swimsuits but they could have gotten by!

Happy flying!

Great advice! I always make sure my luggage is tagged.

This is what really kills me is when you do the right thing and something gets stolen out of your bag!!

Last summer I went to visit my sister is Cali and she gave me a present, Ralph Lauren Romance perfume, my favorite! It was the big bottle so I had to check it in because I wouldn't have been able to carry it on, too many ounces! Someone stole it out of my check on bag!! Grrrr! Still mad about that LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
