Rebecca's LONG Official Wedding Review

REBECCA

It is a surreal experience. Funny...I was so nervous like 2 weeks before, but like Tammy said, once I got there and spent time with my friends and family beforehand, my nerves were gone. I felt like I was just on vacation rather than getting married. I got a little nervous like a couple moments right before, but I held it together pretty well. Maye's husband married us and he kept fumbling over his words trying the read the ceremony. I didn't cry at all, just a couple of big deep breaths. My dad was really emotional! He was crying when he gave me a way and right after the ceremony disappeared to compose himself. That is what made me cry...him crying.

Anyway, it will be here before you know it and gone that much faster. Trust me. GET A VIDEO. The ceremony is a complete blur to me. I wish I had the reception on video!

i was nervous right before the ceremony too but holding it together...then my dad, when he was walking me down the aisle, said: i love you very much and know you will have a great life with steve...that made me start crying...

then he said to steve, to take good care of me and that got him crying...it is making me cry just thinking about it!

natalie--oooh yeah that may be a good idea about sharing the lanterns- we need to keep that in mind if there is anything else we need to share.

everyone- i am not sure this is clear- but there is ALWAYS some lights on the palm trees- meaghan just brought extra and left them for rebecca. mariana also told me that they set up a few extra spot lights to add extra light to the occasion.- so there will be plenty of lights. just wanted to clear that up!

THANKS AGAIN LADIES!!!!! I am not sure where i would be without this site!

Rebecca - I'm a little late but still wanted to Wish you a big CONGRATS!!!!! I'm so happy that everything worked out amazing, your ceremony and reception looked so beautiful and honestly about the chairs for your ceremony I really liked them, I saw a set up for a ceremony on the beach with those kind of chairs covers but they were in a purpley colour (well I thought they were great)

Hope you enjoyed your honeymoon and your arrival back home as a MRS...Yay so exciting....

Like everyone I can't wait to see your pics, hopefully they will be up sooncheesy.gif

Rebecca, ditto to everyone's comments! You look beautiful and from the pics it looks like you guys had a great time! I too can't wait to see the slide show. Juan is taking our pictures as well, and I love to see all the stuff he's doing.

Nicole and Natalie, our wedding's the day before Nicole's at Dreams so if you want to split the lanterns three ways let me know. I don't think we're doing too much decorating, but I love them in Rebecca's pics.

Ha! ha! I just received an e-mail from Juan. He said another 2 or 3 days and he'll be shipping them. AHHHH!! The torture!!!! next week girls!!

Oh, and I sent and e-mail to Maye telling her what a good job she did, but also expressing my dissappointments with my bouquet. I also made some suggestions about improving the directing of the bridal party the wedding day. i was nice because I still highly recommend her and, overall, it came off beautifully!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
