Probably the Elton John version; I know it differs from the movie, but it is still from it, so I am okay with it

What's your first dance song?

No problem! I am probably going the instrumental route for the walk down with that Kiss the Girl version on youtube. Plus, as a Disney nerd, you might appreciate this... our cake toppers are representing us... him as Han Solo from Star Wars, and me as Belle from Beauty and the Beast. At least that is the plan.
I also thought of So This is Love for the first dance. Another thought!

I posted earlier that we were going with Free by Zac Brown Band. I've decided to use the extended version. They add "Into The Mystic" by Van Morrison in the middle of the song. They do it for their concerts but you can get a studio version of it on the internet. It makes the song a little long, but it makes a great song even more perfect. All you other brides who are doing Free as well should check it out. Here's the YouTube link: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=GOe25IfD0GE (I'm going to cut out the violin in the beginning to make it a little shorter).

You should think about the length of the song and how you want the first dance to be structured. What I mean by that is you may want to consider having the DJ invite the wedding party or other couples to join you part way through the song.
My husband and I did not think of this in advance. While we were dancing we wished that we had asked the DJ to invite others to join because we felt like everyone was watching us dance for a long time. I would say that our first dance song was of average length.

Yeah the length of the song is the only thing holding me back. We have a DJ friend who might be able to edit it and cut it down a little bit without compromising the whole song, so we might go with that. If that doesn't work, I'll definitely look into having the DJ ask everyone to join us. I didn't think of that thanks!

So, I had been struggling with this decision for a while. We don't really have "a" song that we could automatically choose.
There was a song that always made us smile when we first started dating, but It kind of lame, and I really didn't want it as our first song.
Well,...FI choose "our" song and it's perfect! God Gave me You - Blake Sheldon. We both love Blake and song is perfect to be "ours" for all the years to come!

We went w/ Eric Clapton - Wonderful Tonight. We didn't have the bridal party or guests join in but now that I'm thinking about it, it would have been nice.
