Since we are walking down the beach.. We are going to play the music (without the words) to Jason Mraz, Im yours, I like the 'beachy' sound of it. Our reception will not be until the summer, It is going to be more on the informal side, outside. We will start with Johnny and June by Heidi Newfield -that is our song from day one, Walk the Line- and then later in the evening we are going to Time of our Lives along with the dance.. should be fun, and im sure we will mess it up, but it will be great!

All great songs ladies smile29.gif

I think we'll end up dancing to "Hey there Delilah" by the Plain White T's. About 9 months into our relationship I moved out of state to go to graduate school. The day I moved I went to his apartment to say bye but when he got home from work he didn't say a word to me, walked in and put on the cd then turned to that song. He had stopped on his way home to buy the CD. Then he just held me and we listened to the song. After the goodbyes he sent me off with the CD. A year later he got a job in my town and moved to be with me! A month after that he proposed.

We did a year of long distance and it was tough. I feel like we've been through a lot since then and maybe it doesn't apply to us as much anymore but it's still our song. I am slightly worried though because I mentioned this to his sister awhile back and she practically freaked out on me telling me how it was her and her boyfriends song. Her boyfriend has since proposed so i'm nervous that she's gonna get REALLY pissed that we're dancing to it first. They did long distance too so I get it...but I don't think they have the story we do. And hey, we're getting married first so I shouldn't cater to her right?

Iâ€m not sure if I can of so much help with this. If I am to marry I will play By your side by Sade for my first dance. I know itâ€s kinda difficult to choose for the best

song but I believe you can choose a great one for your wedding. Also, to add me and my partner like Angel by Dave Mathews Band.

I want to use this song too, but I worry he says 'It better last...' waaaaaaay too much! Of course it will last! lol I love David Gray. I am also considering 'Sail Away'. Haven't run any of these ideas past the FI yet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
