We are going with "For You" by Dave Matthews and Johnny Cash. We wanted to go with "crush" by DMB but they talk about getting high and stuff...prob not appropriate for our wedding haha! Here are the lyrics:

I will drink the cup, the poison overflowing

I will lift you up, watch over where you're going

The first one in The last one gone

I'll be the rock to stand upon

For you

For you

My spirit aches and I can't stop this river flowing

In fear I take, each labored breath I draw in knowing

That this could be my last, my final hour

But faith and hope and love give me the power

For you

For you

"Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death

I will fear no evil for you are with me"

You are with me

I'll be your salvation though the storm's surrounding

There on our own conditions, lay my body down

In the wake abondon willing sacrifice

I'll walk though the canyon, bring the shadows life

For you

For you

I will drink the cup, the poison overflowing

I will lift you up watch over where you're going

The first on in the last one gone

I'll be the rock to stand upon

The first on in the, last one gone

I'll be the rock to stand upon

For you

For you

For you

When my FI was traveling a few weeks ago he said it came on his Ipod at the airport and he started to cry...that's when I knew this HAD to be our song!

We actually just changed ours to "Love Till' the End" by The Pogues.

I heard it first on PS I Love You and my FI went with me to that movie last christmas and it was the first time I saw him ever cry. It was sweet. It's a different kind of song, and my FI likes that.

So, like I posted previously, we did road trip this past weekend and I made a playlist of a bunch of potential first dance songs for FI to listen to. His top 2 (for right now anyway) are Hard to Concentrate by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Someone Like You by Van Morrison. I was NOT expecting him to like Hard to Concentrate because he really doesn't like the Chili Peppers (but I do), but that was one of my top picks so I'm excited he likes it! Now I just have to figure out how the heck we would dance to it, lol. I'm sure we'll keep looking but at least it's a start.

That is a great song. It's what I plan on walking down the aisle to.

My FI wants "Then" by Brad Paisley (I think that is how you spell his name). I am not a huge country fan, but it is sweet that he chose that one. Thanks for all of the other suggestions. They will come in handy as our wedding gets closer.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
