What's your first dance song?

We are leaning towards Lovesong by ADELE but are trying to decide between that and Calling You (Acoustic Version) by Blue October. Our first year and a half dating was long distance so we always called that our song  because it fit perfectly and we both love Blue October but I just don't know how well we will be able to dance to it.

Historically, I haven't been a big country fan, although I have to admit that I can feel myself softening on this stance ;)

I really like hip hop. Obviously that doesn't work very well for first dance or wedding ceremony music. I used to joke that my husband's vows to me should be the lyrics from Akon's "Sexy [Chick]" (I am editing since this is a public venue), of course delivered in a serious and somber manner. I am blessed in the posterior region. Given this fact, the lyrics to "Sexy [Chick]" are funny.

"She's nothing like a girl you've ever seen before,
Nothing you can compare to your neighborhood [prostitute].
I'm trying to find the words to describe this girl without being disrespectful.
The way that booty moving, I can't take no more.
Have to stop what I'm doing so I can pull up close.
I'm trying find the words to describe this girl without being disrespectful.
[Darn] girl, [darn] you'se a sexy [chick]..."

Maybe it's just us, but my husband and I still crack up every time we talk about this. Hopefully some of you got a chuckle out of it, too!

Hahahaha, I think we've been blessed in the same area! But if not that, what was your first dance song? :) We're curious...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
