I think having it on a Tuesday will be fine, some people will make a long weekend out of it and yes that means that some won't come.

If you are still set on cancun pm anny (anacgarcia) she got married in Cancun and can give you some tips on the resorts she looked into.

ugh, that sucks! imo, if you're really set on dreams cancun, then leave it as a tuesday...but know that some people may not be able to make it....however, they still could come on a fri/sat and stay till wed....?

if you're set on a sat. then start looking around...

you have to decide which is more important...

That sucks! I can understand wanting a Saturday, but I think a Tuesday would be fine if people have enough advance notice. If you love Dreams, then go for it... maybe you could talk to a few key people that you want there to see if the long vacation would work for them?

I had my wedding on a Wednesday. That is actually the day I wanted it to be. I think the Tuesday would work out well, your mom is right, it is a DW, you don't need to do it on the weekend. But, if the day is more important than the location, then I say you should check out some other places and then decide.

I don't think a Tuesday should be a problem for people. If they can only take a few days off from work then maybe they come down for the weekend and fly home on wednesday, so they don't miss a whole week, or whatever works for them. With enough notice I don't think it should be an issue for anyone. Your moms right its a DW, so this a vacation for a lot of people, so I think they will want to make the most of it no matter what day your wedding falls on.

I really wanted my wedding on a Friday or Saturday but those dates weren't available for the timeframe that we were looking at. We ended up having it on a Sunday which was a blessing in desguise.. guests were able to hang out together several days before the wedding. We had our welcome dinner two days prior. Some family left the day after and others were able to hang out an additional day or two.

I think a Tuesday is perfectly fine.. I would check into flight costs (try farecompare.com) .. but rooms/flight might even be cheaper weekday vs weekend.. your wedding package will probably be the same cost regardless.

I guess my point is, just like with anything in life, sometimes what you thought was terrible could just turn out to be the best thing ever!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
